the rose white variety sent this image to me regarding her new nickname 'ermine'. i'm blogging it out of guilt and in agreement with the christianing.
it has occurred to me that "ermy" as a nickname must not be conflated with "hermoine" from harry potter. it can, however, be subtly turned into "ernie" in sarcasm. (although that may make me bert and i don't know how comfortable that makes me.)
